You must understand how a guy like me looks at the world, particularly if you were to mistakenly call me "The Messiah".
In your realm "of communication theory" with THE GAME OF CULTURAL TELEPHONE, if not sloppy, blinkered "brain-cheese" and ignorant masses "stamping around" full of propaganda simplified "and tilted" in a way not only gratifying to their own gorping mouths and shitting assholes, but to the cynical machinations of the power structure "counting the money", whether out of academic, editorial, or patriotic delusion concerned with similar motivations, if puffed up with fancy degrees, snappy suits, "and years of public service" (. . . . . whatever THAT means); I'D HAVE TO CALL YOUR ATTENTION TO MANY THINGS.
One, is the ahistoricity of lost, frightened postmodern times in which folks feel "as if they're in a civilization IN DECLINE" with so much noise, confusion, decadence, ambiguity. . . . . and so on & so forth, that they'll "run to THE ONE TRUE CROSS" or whatever and fall upon their knees, "seeking forgiveness" in self-flagellating ecstasy before A) Cult Leaders; B) Rock n' Roll Messiahs. . . . . or any kind of vague, mythical, otherworldly BULLSHIT that mostly comes down to a bit of classic psychological principle found in charisma, power, mania, blood, danger, and pagan sexual revelry. . . . . depending on "how crooked" the guy is, whatever kind of weaknesses he has "for members of his flock", or to what degree "he gets carried away with his own act" until finally unmasked. Or punched-out in some bar-fight or quietly "sent to rehab" or possibly FACING SOME JAIL-TIME for embezzlement or tax evasion.
The garishness "of what folks fall for". . . . . wanting to believe in happy, magical EASY answers that not only short-cuts "critical thinking", but lets them "off-the-hook" as they lose themselves in the mass mind and forget about the hard truth governing personal responsibility and the valour of personal struggle that guides ALL TRUE MEANINGFUL ACHIEVEMENT. And sadly, we live in a society where the market caters to childish fantasy instead of the concerns of your realistic guardians until things have "fallen apart" to the degree they have.
To sound "profound", but only coming across as bombastically childish-- many would utter that Jesus is the most controversial man in the world today. Well, to many-- JESUS WAS A FUCKING FRAUD. Even back in "his day", probably not too different than some screw-eyed civil rights gospel preacher with his following of trashy street rabble and stupid young liberal college kids WHOM WE SHOULD HAVE SACKED long before he made his immortal "I have a Dream" speech out on the Lincoln Memorial, with what the serious men in this country "knew what we were in for". Certainly, some adjustments needed to be made down below "The Mason-Dixon Line" with artful, wise persuasion but the approach of these young gagglers AND MEDIA WHORES "was so offensive" that it only brought on FAR WORSE THINGS with the hamminess and elite, sheltered ham-handedness of your flab-headed SUPREME COURT and the self-exempted, yet sanctimonious horrors-by-implication IT BROUGHT DOWN ONTO THIS LAND.
And how "the cavalcade of ignorance" is forever handed-down in descending, grunting cultural decline. . . . . least of all, in your social, academic, and fashionable capitols "of enlightened opinion" as the nation cries out for leadership and many-a-pundit should be lashed to the mouth of a cannon and be the inaugral, blasting hell-cry of blood n' steel as your days are filled WITH PISS & SMOKE, burn & rise "no more" as from stewing, Promethean bondage in thy league of Roman "bread n' circuses" UNBOUND, as we contemplate upon the sapphire of the Phoneix eye in national, titanic destiny-- to play about with a cudgel and contemplate the measly skulls OF GLOBAL RIVALS, and if merciful-- enslave them like beast-thralls to do our Germanic bidding amid the rising towers of red-licked shadow, looking over all from the Wermacht towers of Mt. Erebus down in Hades presided over by SHE-WHO-CAN-NOT-BE-NAMED.
